New MSTing!
In a once-a-year (or even once every two years!) announcement, Megane 6.7 and I have published another brand-new MSTing. It's not available at our main A MSTing For All Seasons site due to access issues that will hopefully be rectified shortly. It can, however, be read at Mediaminer by following this link . Thank you for all your support and patience!

Quick notes, general maintenance, and slight status update:
Finally, May. There's just something about this winter that really lasted for quite a while for me. I suppose my first task is to not write posts like this to invite some instant karma, but now that winter's over and I've been on the new job for two months, I feel far more optimistic.
We have made an effort to step up the posting, and I'm still extremely glad to have the Too Late Reviews series to continue. I apologize for the recent downswing in posting, but I must admit that I've not been looking out for new stuff lately. Escaflowne is still progressing and while I don't have too much pinpointed recently, I'll be working on figuring out a few other new articles to post in the next month as well.
On the MSTing front, Megane 6.7 posted his "Let's Play", a commentary for one of the shortest and most bizarre puzzle games I've ever seen, "Paul Quest". It's pretty much a Rifftrax plus the game video itself, it's in four pieces and about fifty minutes total. It's also pretty funny, please check it out if you have a few minutes.
In other news, Megane 6.7 and I will also be publishing a new MSTing very shortly. We'll be announcing it here and posting a link to A MSTing For All Seasons when it is up, so stay tuned to this space!
Thank you to all our new readers. We're more than happy to take suggestions, so please feel free to drop a comment on this or any other post if there's something you'd like us to review or comment on. We are cross-platform to some small extent; Megane 6.7 is available on Twitter at @MSTerMegane67 and I am on Twitter at @ZoogzMST. I also upgraded my Google account to Google+ and hopefully can be found via the name link at the bottom of this post. I typically write a post on Google+ whenever the blog is updated. Without cable anymore, I'm not sure if I can do a live commentary on anything going on, but I'll see if I can't get a few more quick-hit comments on Twitter if anyone's reading. Whichever place attracts activity, I'll be there.
See you again with another #2LR soon!

Real life update:
I sincerely apologize for the lack of posting on the blog, as there are still two more Civ games that I wanted to get to (and through), and especially since I am still playing Civ 5 off and on through the last few weeks, previously playing the original and now playing the expansion. My job hunt, however, has been a very busy process; at one point I managed to sleep in my own bed only two nights out of a previous five-day workweek, visiting four different cities for five separate interviews in a seven-day stretch in late January.
However, the good news is that there have been offers, and the better news is that I have accepted one of those offers. The likely start date for me will be early March, which leaves not a whole lot of time for packing and for arranging for new housing and for all of the other steps that I need to take in order to embark on this new adventure.
I thank you, our reader(s), for your patience as well. I am planning more content through the next few weeks, not the least of which is completing the aforementioned Walk through Civilization History, also obtaining a few new-old animes to go through and watch.

Not quiet anymore...
Well, that was fun while it lasted...
On Friday (30 November), I found out that I have been let go from my position, so I am now on the employment market again -- more urgently than I was two years ago. I am unsure how this will shake out for my current posting schedule. I thank you for your patience and your continued support of the blog and I hope to keep providing content as my schedule (and my mood) permits.

In Memoriam: Bill Livingston
According to sources online, prolific MSTer Bill Livingston passed away last week at the age of 45. (Obituary here) Both Megane 6.7 and I wish to offer our sympathies to Bill's family and our appreciation to Bill, who wrote some terrific stuff. Bill only dabbled into anime MSTings occasionally but he also has a large catalog of spam MSTings as well as Star Trek MSTings. I've read quite a bit of his work, and sincerely enjoy it.
Bill was able to take some extremely long 'fics and had the patience and enjoyment of writing to be able to riff them with his friends. The finished pieces are extremely good, and here are some links below for those who want to check them out.
My favorite of the bunch: "The Misery Senshi Neo-Zero Double Blitzkrieg Dilemma". Warning, this *text file* is over 1MB large. The riffing was terrific, the story was amazingly... well, amazing in and of itself, and the host segments were plentiful and funny. I've never been able to read it all in one sitting... but that's a good thing, because that way there's more riffs waiting for you for next time too.
The MSTing Mine also has Bill's work here. Curiously, I needed to link Misery Senshi above as it seems that it may not have been posted on Usenet before.
Thanks, Bill, for your wit and humor, and we'll miss you.
